Nurture The Relationships In Our Life

Our life is full of relationships. In each relationship it is nurtured by spending time with the other person in the relationship. When we spend time with our spouse, we become better husbands and wives. We build relationships with coworkers by spending time nurturing a good work relationship. We become a better brother or sister in Christ by nurturing out fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ. We become a better father or mother by nurturing our relationship with our children.

Our relationship with Christ is like any other relationship, we nurture it by spending time with Him. Just like in any relationship, communication is vital. We need to talk, and we need to listen to God. We do this with prayer and spending time in God’s Word. The God centered life is of consistent prayers. Jesus taught His disciples to always pray and not give up.

Luke 18:1 (NIV)

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.

God wants to have a meaningful relationship with us. The more we communicate with God like in any relationship the deeper that relationship grows and happier we feel.
