“Passion for Life”

Romans 12:11 (NIV)

11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.

Terri and I watched the “The Chosen” season 3, which is the series about Jesus and His chosen disciples. I enjoyed both season 1 ,2, and 3 very much. The writers and producers do a great job of showing Jesus and the disciple’s passion for life and their faith. It makes me appraise my passion for life and faith. Where does it stand?

Believers should be passionate about life, our loved ones, our work, and our faith. We have been saved by a Risen Christ, so we have good reason to be passionate. We should be enthusiastic, but if we are honest there are times the struggles of life can get us down. If we find our zest fading, it is time to slow down, count our blessings and pray. God can renew our sense of wonderment and excitement for both life and our faith.

Life with God is an adventure, and we need to celebrate in it. When we do this God will smile upon our lives.
