“Walking Worthy”
Once we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior are we seeing a difference in our lifestyle? As a Christian we walk in a newness of life. Does our lifestyle exhibit a day-by-day commitment to live for Christ?
Walking is often used in scripture as a symbol of the Christian life. John writes about our walk in 2 John and Paul talks about our walk in 1 Thessalonians.
2 John 1:6
6 And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.
1 Thessalonians 4:1
Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God.
So, is our walk (Christian life) worthy of Christ’s calling on our life?
In Ephesians Paul implores us to “Let your lifestyle be worthy of the calling we have received.
Ephesians 4:1
As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.
