“Celebrate Independence Day”

“Celebrate Independence Day”

Americans across our country are celebrating July 4 Independence Day. July 4, also known as Independence Day, marks the anniversary of the Second Continental Congress adopting the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. The Congress, made up of delegates from the United States’ original 13 colonies, unanimously approved the document that declared independence from Great Britain. Here in the United States, we celebrate freedom.

As Christians we should celebrate everyday our freedom from the penalty of sin. Jesus gave His life and shed His blood on the cross to free us from the penalty of sin. Paise the name of Jesus for what He did to free us from the penalty of sin.

Galatians 5:1

1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Acts 13:38-39

38 “Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. 39 Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.
