“The Invisible Presence”
Doubting Thomas had to see evidence of Christ before he would believe in Jesus’ resurrection. There is an invisible presence living within each person that has put their faith and trust in the saving blood of Jesus. Even though we can’t see God or see the Holy Spirit living within each believer it doesn’t mean He doesn’t exist. However, we see the effects of God on human lives. God has the power to change men from the inside out. Changing men’s hearts has an outward effect on each person that follows Christ.
John 1:18 (ESV)
No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.
God promises that those who believe in Him can find rest. It is a great place to be, resting in God, but like many of God’s gifts it is internal and even though not seen it can be felt and experience.
Hebrews 4:3 (NIV)
3 Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said,
“So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’”
And yet his works have been finished since the creation of the world.
There is a day coming where we will see God and there will be no more pain, no more tears. Until then, let's put our faith and trust in God and allow Him to refresh our soul and spirit.
