The Holy Spirit Will Enable You to Walk Obediently
Has God called you to do something that you don’t feel capable of doing? You might question God, “are you sure you have the right person?” This can put us in a tough quandary, we want to be obedient to God, but only when we understand it. What we need to realize is the God sees the beginning, middle, and end of our situation and we don’t only look at things from God’s perspective. We would all agree if we could look at things from God’s point of view, we would be highly motivated to obey Him.
Unfortunately, if we disobey God, we will continue to struggle in the same area repeatedly, and you lose out on God’s blessing. God is always testing our hearts and wanting to mature our faith. The great thing is that when we submit to God, He will empower us and give us everything we need to do the job.
We can look at God’s Word for a great example. Moses, when God asked Moses to lead his people out of slavery in Egypt to the Promised Land. Moses was at first reluctant, thinking that the Israelites would not believe he had heard the Word of God. God then gave Moses special powers and inspired by this, Moses returned to Egypt and demanded freedom for his people.
So, we will have times in our life when our obedience to God is going to be tested. Remember that you have the Holy Spirit inside of you that will empower you to do whatever God asks you to do.
Philippians 4:13
I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
