“Believers Come in All Types”

In some ways Jesus and John, the Baptist seemed so different. John with his wild look and different diet. Jesus appears to have grown up like a regular Jewish child and He had a steady profession as a carpenter. Yet they had one thing in common. They were both part of God’s plan for mankind. Both were so different, yet they both wanted to be obedient to the Father in Heaven.

We are very similar to that today. Believers are made up of all types of people with different likes and dislikes, different habits, different cultures. If we were to look back a few generations to our ancestors who were believers, they would think we were pretty strange. That is okay, Jesus is the Lord for any generation. He knows how to meet us where we are in life. The important thing is for us to live with our hope and faith in Jesus alone.

3 Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me

So today, no matter where we are in life, lets live like John and Jesus and be rooted in God’s love.
