Lord is Near the Brokenhearted
Does your life ever feel like it is in turmoil? Life can seem like it is going along just find then suddenly turmoil. This is when the news comes; there are cuts coming at work; the car won’t start; your child is struggling in life; or it could be anything that makes your life unsettled. Any of these can cause you hardships or feeling of being heavyhearted and burdened. When these times happen, you might wonder where God has gone, it might seem like He has backed away from you. You have all this turmoil going and you might be asking, and it seems like God is nowhere to be found.
God has not gone anyplace; He is right there on the throne. It doesn’t matter whether you see Him working. His approach may not cause you to feel any different. But the truth: the harder the days get; the closer God leans in so that you can hear His voice.
Psalm 34:18
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
It can be easy to put up a barrier and think I don’t need anyone; I will make it through this. You might even let your turmoil draw you away from God. That is the wrong thing to do. This is the time you need to turn to God and lean on Him in your time of need. In James 4:8 it says, draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.
This is the time to sit down and pray. Tell God how you feel when you do this you are moving closer to Him, and He is drawing closer to you.
