Jesus is Lord
Christianity earliest profession of faith consisted of three short powerful words: “Jesus is Lord”. Paul shares that there is no power or person in the universe that can separate us from the love that Jesus Christ our Lord has for us.
Romans 8:38 - 39
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Both those who love Him and those who oppose Him will one day call Jesus' “Lord”. Even the devil will be forced to acknowledge Him.
What a privilege we have to pray to a Sovereign Lord, whose name is Jesus.
Philippians 2:9 - 11
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
