You Are My God
David led a life that was full of challenges. In his younger adult like he defeated Goliath. Then he was chased by King Saul who wanted to take his life. After becoming King of Israel, David had some real-life disappointments. He had an affair with Bathsheba and then had her husband killed. The child they had together became sick and died. Then later in his reign, he had his kingdom challenged by his son.
David had several reasons to cry out to the Lord. Psalm 86 is prayer of David calling out to the Lord. This is a great chapter to pray when you don’t know what to pray when you face challenges.
Psalm 86:1-4
1 Hear me, Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. 2 Guard my life, for I am faithful to you; save your servant who trusts in you. You are my God; 3 have mercy on me, Lord, for I call to you all day long. 4 Bring joy to your servant, Lord, for I put my trust in you.
When we face challenges put your trust in God and call out to Him just like David did.
