Unshakable Peace that God Gives
There is so much uncertainty in the world today. We have face multiple variances of Covid, things like fuel and groceries are more expensive, and we are facing a lot of uncertainties. However, we can live with the Peace of God no matter what we face.
On the night Jesus was betrayed, He said to his disciples, “My peace I give to you; not as the world gives to you do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled; neither let it be afraid.”
John 15:27
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Jesus has promised to give us His peace. The peace that Jesus gives us is not dictated by our circumstances, but our relationship with Him. If we look at our circumstances and dwell on them, it could easily steal our peace. Anxiety over our circumstances can lead to doubt and confusion in our lives. However, Jesus promised to give us perfect peace. The peace that Jesus was talking about comes about by having an intimate relationship with Him.
Isaiah 26:3
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.
David learned to give every situation to God, and he had unshakable peace that God would protect Him and fulfill His promises. The safest place to be during times of trouble is in the everlasting arms of Jesus.
Psalm 57:1-3
1 Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed.
2 I cry out to God Most High, to God, who vindicates me. 3 He sends from heaven and saves me, rebuking those who hotly pursue me God sends forth his love and his faithfulness.
