Standing on God’s Promises
For those of us that know The Lord Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior do we realize the blessings we have inherited in God’s promises? When you trusted Jesus as your Savior, you became a child of God and a member of His household. This is the foundation of your heritage because all other promises flow from a relationship with Him.
One of the promises we have is an opportunity to have a daily relationship with our creator, our Lord, and Savior. Our sins have been forgiven when we put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ, we as Christians can stay in fellowship with Christ. As His child, you now have the privilege to come to Him each day and confess our sins and receive His forgiveness in order to grow in unhindered fellowship with Him.
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
This is just one of the many promises that God has blessed us with.
Another one, is that the Lord has promised to never leave us.
Hebrews 13:5
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
This is just a couple of the promises that God has given us. Right now at this moment God has promised to be with us and He has promised to allow us to be in fellowship with Him.
There are many more promises I will start to share, but these two should give us great comfort in being in God’s family.
We have the Holy Spirit indwelling us to be our helper.
John 14:16
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever.
God has unlimited power and has promised to strengthen you.
Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
According to Matthew chapter 6 God will supply all of our needs.
Matthew 6:31-32
31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
