Jesus Our Friend

Jesus is not only our Lord and Savior, but our friend. Friendship is something that should be valued. When you pray to Jesus you are praying to a friend who gave his life on the cross for us.

John 15: 13-15

3 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

Our relationship with our Lord and Savior is our most valued relationship we could ever have. It is amazing to realize that we can have a friendship with the all-powerful, sovereign Creator of all things! This is why we need to nurture this remarkable friendship.

To nurture our relationship with God, we need spend time with Him in prayer and reading His Word. Then be obedient to His commands.

In Proverbs 18:24 it talks about a friend who sticks closer than a brother. That friend is our Lord and Savior, our Creator. Jesus Christ.
