“Jesus Love Breaks Barriers”

Two thousand years ago, Jesus showed us how we should respond to the kind of hate-driven barriers that oppress people who are different. In John 4:7 it starts the story of Jesus meeting the Samaritan women.
Who were the Samaritans? The Samaritans were a despised and powerless minority of no perceived value to the Jews in those days. John 4 vs 9 it says, “Jews do not associate with Samaritans”. Jesus chose a Samaritan woman, and she wasn’t just any women. She had a history of broken relationships. She was looked down at by her own Samaritans.
When Jesus met with her, He asked for a drink. He did not disrespect her or lecture her. He just asked for help. Instead of running away in fear or shame she stayed. Everything changed after Jesus told her about the living water He supplied.
John 4:13 - 14 (NIV)
13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
God loves us regardless of our color, creed, race, gender, previous life, or present lifestyle. Our world could use this type of love that God has.
This is called grace. Love others with the Love that Jesus can give.
