“God supplies our Needs”
God has promised to supply our needs. God tells us in Matthew to not worry about our needs. As Children the Lord knows exactly what we need and will supply it. Are we worriers? We see a need and a lot of times we worry about how we are going to meet that need. Starting in Matthew 6:25 Jesus tells us not to worry about the needs of our life.
Matthew 6:25 - 27
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
Jesus tells us that worrying does us no good. God wants us to depend on Him for everything. God is Sovereign and has the power to do whatever He desires. As His children, He loves us so much He died for us. Verse 26 tells us that we are more valuable to Him than the birds in the air and He supplies their needs.
One of the pastors I enjoy listening to is Charles Stanley. One of his sayings is, “Obey God and leave all the consequences to Him”. I think of this when I read verse 33, 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
We as God’s children need to seek Him and let God guide us in our lives. He will meet our needs.
