“God Promises He Will Comfort Us”

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NIV)

“3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”

We live in a world that is at times a frightening place. It can also be a discouraging place. We have family and friends fighting health issues. Then around the world there are terrible events that are very disturbing to watch. These are the times that God has promised that He is always with us, and He offers us comfort, assurance, and peace. During these times it helps to be encouraged with God’s promise and encouragement from family members and friends.

So, if you are feeling discouraged and worried about what is happening around the world, turn your eyes towards Jesus. He will give you comfort.
