Don’t be Afraid to Approach God

In the Old Testament there were only certain individuals who had the privilege of being in the presence of God. There were some who even perished if they came into God’s presence unauthorized. God is holy and always has been holy. He hates sin. Moses had the privilege of talking with God and hearing God talk to him.
Jesus talked with God daily. The bible says, Jesus rose early to go speak to God the Father in prayer. Because of our faith in Jesus, we can enter directly into God’s presence through prayer. We are welcomed by God with open arms, because we are God’s children through our union with Christ. What a awesome privilege we have to be able to approach God with freedom and confidence. Do we take advantage of this privilege we have? I have talked to some Christians that say they might go days without praying. Why wouldn’t we want to take advantage of talking with God. He wants us to talk to him.
Ephesians 3:12
In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.
So, don’t be afraid to take advantage of this awesome privilege of talking with God. He is waiting for us to come into his presence in prayer.
