The Word became Flesh

Christmas is getting close, and Jesus is the focus. A critical part of the gospel is the fact that Jesus was physically human. He was a real, living, breathing person. As a result, He could claim to have experience everything we would experience.

Hebrew 4:15

15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.

John tells us that in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and Word was God. So, we that the Word is God. As we read John 1 verse 14 we also see the Word or God became flesh. So, we see in these verses that Jesus is fully human and is fully God.

John 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14

"The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."

I think we all can agree this year has been a year of ups and downs. We can still rejoice every day of our lives that the Word became flesh. Praise God for that.
