Praising God

Updated: Apr 4

When we pray, do we devote time to praising God or do we just give God our petitions? When we praise His goodness and grace, we are motivated to live lives that are pleasing to Him.

Psalm 150:6

“Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.”

Glorifying the Lord is not limited to worshipping in church. In fact, praise ought to be part of a believer’s life daily. We should honor Him because of who He is, what He has done, and what He has promised for the future.

Every day I start my morning prayer by thanking the Lord for His precious Blood that He shed on the Cross for my sins, and I thank Him for saving me and giving me eternal life. That is a starting point for my prayer.

We can praise God in how we live. Do we honor God by serving Him at work, at home, and in our daily personal lives? Are we ambassadors for Christ through out the day? Can people see our Lord through our actions or do we blend into the world.

Jesus is worth more than any treasure that the world can offer. Loving Him and understanding what He’s done for us should be all the motivation we need to praise Him in our life.

So, let’s start tomorrow spending time in prayer and praising God.
