God Gives you Direction for Life

God promises to direct our lives if we just ask. You would not believe over the years the number of times I have asked the Lord to guide me in the direction I should take. Terri and I at times will reflect on times in our lives when the Lord watched over us and guided our steps. Just tonight we thought of times throughout our marriage when God led us in decisions we needed to make. This strengthens our faith in God for our future as we know the Lord will be a guiding light for our path in life.

This should allow us to live our lives without worry, when we know that God is promising to instruct and teach us on what way we should go. The Lord knows the pitfalls and dangers that lie ahead and has promised to teach you which way to go to stay on His path.

Think about this. We have our Creator, our Savior, who is Sovereign and orchestrates the events of our lives. He has promised to guide our paths. This is a win-win-win-win for us when we listen to Him.

Unfortunately, we don’t always seek God’s guidance and go on our own path. If you have done this, don’t worry, ask God to forgive us for ignoring Him. God is a God of Grace and Mercy and gives us more opportunities to listen to Him.

Charles Stanley often says, “Obey God and leave all the consequences to Him”. It sounds simple and it is. Trust and obey our Sovereign God to guide you and allow Him to teach you in the way you should go. He will as He has His loving eye on you.

Psalm 32:8

8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.

神应许只要我们求祂，祂就会指引我们的生命。多年来，我无数次求主带领我该走的方向——你都想象不到次数有多少。特莉和我有时会回想，在我们生命中的许多时刻，主如何看顾我们、带领我们的脚步。就在今晚，我们回顾了婚姻中的一些关键时刻——那些我们需要做出决定时，神如何引导我们。这些经历让我们对神未来的带领更加有信心，因为我们知道主必成为我们人生道路上的指路明灯。

既然如此，当我们知道神应许要指教我们当行的路，我们就应当无忧无虑地生活。主知道前方隐藏的陷阱和危险，并且应许教导你当走的路，使你能行在祂的道路上。

想一想：我们有一位创造主、救主，祂是至高无上的神，掌管着我们生命中的各种事。祂已应许要引导我们的道路。当我们聆听祂时，这对我们来说是好上加好，再加好！

遗憾的是，我们并不总是寻求神的带领，反而走自己的路。如果你曾这样做，不要担心，求神饶恕我们曾经无视祂。神是满有恩典与怜悯的神，会给我们更多机会来聆听祂。

查尔斯·史坦利常说：“顺服神，把一切后果交给祂。”听起来简单，其实也确实简单。信靠并顺服掌权的神，让祂带领你、教导你当走的路。祂必这样做，因为祂用慈爱的眼目看顾你。

诗篇 32:88 “我要教导你，指示你当行的路；我要定睛在你身上劝戒你。”
