A Child of The King

Updated: Jan 21

Terri and I married while we were in the Navy. So as sailors we did not have a lot of money for expensive gifts. On our first wedding anniversary I bought Terri some small gifts. One gift I bought for Terri she still has and uses to this day. It is a key chain with a heart on it and a saying that reads, “A Child of The King”.

It is special that we are going on over 42 years of marriage, and she still holds that key chain as a special gift. The words are special, and she holds them dearly to her heart. One of the privileges of being a Christian is that we are children of our Heavenly Father. We have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. This puts us in a special family with our Lord and Savior, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. We are in a heavenly household where God loves us unconditionally and without reservation.

John 1:12

12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God

If you cannot call yourself a “Child of the King”, you can change that by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
